Law No. (7) of 2018 on Amending Law No. (1) of 2013 On Government Human Resources We/ Saud Bin Saqr Bin Mohamed Al Qasimi Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah After perusal of United Arab Emirates Constitution; And Law No. 1 of 2013 on Government Human Resources, as amended; And based on Executive Council approval; have promulgated the following law: Article 1 The text of the two clauses nos. 3 and 4 of article (161) of Law No. (1) of 2013 on Government Human Resources shall be amended to become as follows: - 3- The basis of calculating value of end of service gratuity shall be as following: - a- Non-UAE persons placed in job grades on general cadre, it shall be based on basic salary average for last five years or whatever period they spent in service, which is less, provided that service period shall not be less than one year, to the amount of: - One month per each year for the first five years of service. - One month and half per each year for the following five years of service. - Two months per each year for whatever exceeds that. b- Those appointed on monthly bonus system, it shall be based on 50% of the total bonus or basic salary of the grade corresponding to the job, which is less, provided that service term shall not be less than 5 years, to the amount of: - One-month basic salary for each five years of service for jobs corresponding to grades nine and above. - Two-months basic salary for each five years of service for jobs corresponding to grades ten to fourteen. c- Those appointed on special contracts system with no specified salary breakdown, it shall be based on 50% of the total value of bonus or ceiling of basic salary of the grade corresponding to the job, which is less, provided that service term shall not be less than one year. 4- Probation and notice period shall be considered part of service term when calculating end of service gratuity. Article (2) This Law shall come into force as date of 1/1/2019 and shall be published in the Official Gazette.   • The text of the two clauses nos. 3 and 4 of article (161) of Law No. (1) of 2013 on Government Human Resources shall be amended to become as follows: -

  • This Law shall come into force as date of 1/1/2019 and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
