About Department

EPDA was established in 1999 as one of the governmental authority responsible for protecting the environment and
preserving its quality and natural balance. The Authority also prepares draft laws, regulations, and environmental requirements to protect the environment and industrial development in RAK. The Authority works to promote environmental awareness and knowledge of environmental issues involving the society in environmental protection
programs.
