The Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department is an outstanding icon within the United Arab Emirates judicial system. It accomplished major milestones in its efforts to achieve justice and legal protection to the various spectra of the Emirate community such as investors and individuals. It targets achieving the highest levels of satisfaction of those concerned. Furthermore, it contributes to achieve the vision of the government of Ras Al Khaimah striving for providing a modern legislative structure, judicial matrix and governance systems.  
The Courts Department was founded in 1971 by H.H. the late Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qasimi. Currently, the Courts Department comprises of three courts; the Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal, and Court of Cassation, in addition to an organizational administrative structure that manages and controls the flow of administrative work therein.
